A 9-win season in which Rabun County was a single victory from advancing in the state playoffs marked the best campaign for the program since 2019. Wesley Satterfield does lose arguably his best player in Mary Lovell, but 8 starters run it back in what promises to be another step forward.
Head Coach: Wesley Satterfield, 2nd season
2022 Record: 9-20; State Playoffs (1-2 at Supers)
“Expectations are to make it back to the playoffs,” says Satterfield. “We want to compete for a region title and make a run at advancing past the super regionals.”

Personnel
Returning Starters: 8
Key Departures: Mary Lovell
“Mary Lovell is going to be extremely hard to replace not only as a softball player, but her leadership that she brought to our program,” says Satterfield.
Key Returning Players: Christina Keller (P/OF), Mili Watts (SS/OF), Jacie McCall (IF), Chloe Erlewine (C), Presley Burrell (P/UTIL), Hailey Harvey (IF)
The 8 starters back will be led by Christina Keller, Mili Watts, and Jacie McCall. That trio alone will be heavily relied upon.

Strengths
Strengths: “We return basically our entire lineup,” states Satterfield. “We have a big senior group that we will have to rely on to help keep this program moving in the right direction.”
