In a word, the Lady Indians are seeking to do something unprecidented. After making state and winning 18 matches, Lumpkin under 5th-year coach Haley Dibble are hoping to quickly retool the lineup with just 3 returning starters, and make it past the Sweet 16 hump that they’ve reached twice in their history.
Head Coach: Haley Dibble, 5th season
2022 Record: 18-15; Round One
“As always, we want to get better!,” exclaims Dibble. “We are making a lot of team adjustments this year but I have a hard-working group of girls who are making teamwork a priority. I am looking for this to take us further than we have been before!”

Personnel
Returning Starters: 3
Key Departures: Karson Price, Lexi Pierce, Mary Mullinax
“Their graduating will leave huge adjustments for our team as they have been a large part of our structure for 4 years,” states Dibble.
Key Returning Players: JR Morgan Powell, L Andrea Limehouse, MH Mary Richardson, Averie Simmons, Analyse Melville
“I am also fortunate to have 5 returning seniors, including junior Morgan Powell, talented libero Andrea Limehouse, and powerhouse middle Mary Richardson,” says Dibble. “Joining them we will also be bringing some young players up to varsity that I think will really help us out as they make their varsity debut. I am also excited to have Averie Simmons have a larger role on the court this season. She has worked hard and earned her spot on the floor.”

Strengths
Strengths: “I have a team full of versatile players who are willing to take risks and play anywhere they are needed,” adds Dibble. “I am excited to be working with such a coachable group and see what we can make happen this year. Morgan Powell is ready to dominate at the net and key defensive players like Limehouse and Analyse Melville will be ready to get us where we need to be.”
