The Lady Indians got into the postseason as the 4-seed last year from 7-AAA. Once there, Lumpkin County nearly advanced through the Supers with a 1-2 mark in that round. There’s a good many players back with solid experience, and in Joseph Jones’ 10th season, the Lady Indians will be looking to make state for the 8th time under his leadership.

Head Coach: Joseph Jones, 10th season
2022 Record:
10-17; State Playoffs (1-2 at Supers)

“We have been working very hard to have a successful 2023 season,” says Jones. “We have a lot of competition going on for many positions and this is making all of the players compete at a higher level. Last year, 8 freshmen got quality varsity time and we look for this to pay off for them this fall. Even with only one senior, we have 11 girls who have gotten good varsity experience over the last 2 years. I am looking forward to seeing these girls compete this fall.”
