The Lady Raiders are back to seek a fifth straight playoff trip. Karly Thompson brings back a group that has a lot of varsity appearance and will be hungry to build off last season’s success.

“I’m looking for our team to compete at a high level,” says Thompson. “We have reached the state playoffs the past 4 seasons and I would like to continue our run. That begins by performing competitively and consistently within our region, which may challenge us at times, but we will be ready and excited to take that on.”

Key Returning Players: C/IF Shelby Rinefierd, SR P/IF Hannah Odum, SR OF Kayton Eller, SS Emily Diffenderfer, OF Ella Diffenderfer, SR OF Charli Barbour.

“Shelby Rinefierd (C/IF) returning power in the lineup and will be crucial for us behind the plate,” says Thompson. “Hannah Odum (P/IF) will be our main pitcher this season as a senior. Kayton Eller (OF) is a move-in senior who will allow us to increase our depth in the outfield and provide a strong bat in the lineup. Emily Diffenderfer (SS) will fill a leadership role for us in the infield. Ella Diffenderfer (OF) is strong outfield presence and a consistent bat in our lineup. Charli Barbour (OF) is one of 2 returning seniors and will be big in the leadership of our team while providing defensive and offensive consistency.”

Strengths

Strengths: “Defensively, we are going to be very strong by doing all the small things correctly,” says Thompson. “We have a good amount of speed and look to manufacture runs and create some havoc on the basepaths.”
