Sammy Brown, who just days ago committed to Clemson, was also named MaxPreps Male National Athlete of the Year for 2022-23. Brown, a 5-star #1-ranked LB recruit, is also a standout in wrestling (State Champion) and Track & Field star.

After going for 113 tackles and 24 TDs in football, Brown holds an 88-5 wrestling record with back-to-back state titles after going 27-2 this past season. In track and field, he came in 6th in the state meet in the 100-meter (10.76), 4th in the long jump (23-3) and 11th in the 200-meter (22.0).
