The BLITZ Golfers of the Week, named by BLITZ, are Cameron Kimsey (White County) and Samantha DeWendt (Dawson County).
CAMERON KIMSEY – WHITE COUNTY
White County’s Cameron Kimsey has always been reliable for the Lady Warriors. The sophomore lefty carded a 4th-place finish in the Area Tournament last Tuesday at UGA with an 89. This gained her a spot on the All-Area Team, and helped White County to a share of the Area Championship as a team to get the Lady Warriors to state. This is Kimsey’s second POW award this season and 4th of her career.

SAMANTHA DEWENDT – DAWSON COUNTY
No one had a better performance than Samantha DeWendt last week. That’s obvious, because the Dawson County junior was the Area Champion individually. Though the team finished 5th overall, missing state, DeWendt will be able to represent the Lady Tigers after a low medalist performance in which she carded an 82. This is DeWendt’s first POW award.
