The Indians finished just shy of the playoffs last season despite holding a #5 ranking during the course of the season. Now, after replacing a couple key pieces, Towns County looks to get back into the postseason in a new-look Region 8-A DII.

HEAD COACH: Rollie Thomas (3rd Season)
2022 RECORD: 6-8; No Playoffs
RETURNING STARTERS: 9
KEY DEPARTURES: Lane Lallement (2nd leading goal scorer in school history)
KEY PLAYERS: SR F Grant Ingram, JR M Jay Grimsley
STRENGTHS: “We are a very aggressive team,” states Thomas. “We are strong in our defensive pressure. We also have a quick counter, which translates to strength in our attacking pace as well. I’m also returning every defender from last season, who are now all upperclassmen; so we will have much greater experience and greater depth this season.”

Towns County does have to replace that goal-scoring production of Lane Lallement, who was unreal. However, with 9 starters back and the entire defense intact, look out for what lies ahead for this Indians team.
“We want to compete for a top spot in the region, and make a return to the state playoffs,” adds Thomas.
