The Lady Wildcats are just two years removed from a region title and Sweet 16 run. Now, Rabun County looks to build off last season’s round one exit and improve on the 2-win total in what is an all-new Region 8-A DI.

HEAD COACH: Brad Holcombe (4th Season)
2022 RECORD: 2-9; 2A State Round One
RETURNING STARTERS: 8
KEY DEPARTURES: Kayla Nixon, Sasha Hill, Willow Fisher, Bianca Avila
KEY PLAYERS: Jackie Marin, Kaylee Joe Watts, Sabrina Ayala, Hannah Thompson, Itzia Vasquez, Quetzaly Diaz, Abby Sego, Bridget Zaldiar
STRENGTHS: Senior leadership and team chemistry. Good group of young players and lots of interest.

Rabun County is used to playing past the regular season. Excluding the COVID-shortened 2020 season, the Lady Cats have made the playoffs 4 straight seasons and 6 times in the past 7 full seasons. That remains the expectation for this program. With 8 starters back, it appears to be a team that can and should take a step forward from last year.
The goal for this Rabun team is to host playoffs and keep building the girls program at RCHS.
