The Dawson County Tigers are hoping this season sees the program get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2019. It’s been a minute, but Patrick Muenchen has a group that is largely intact and have the experience necessary to take the natural next step.

HEAD COACH: Patrick Muenchen (4th Season)
2022 RECORD: 5-7-2; No Playoffs
RETURNING STARTERS: 7
KEY DEPARTURES: Five starting seniors, our keeper
KEY PLAYERS: Hector Tenorio, Manny Lopez, Angel Zavala, Cole Palmer, Junior Sanchez, Asher Morris
STRENGTHS: “We have more club players than ever before,” says Muenchen. “Rising freshmen and sophomore players. Key transfers.”

Though the team was just a game away from making the playoffs last season, it has made the boys that much more hungry this season to make that goal a reality. They have simple but achievable aspirations for 2023.
“Winning season,” says Muenchen. “And qualify for state playoffs.”
