The cross country region meet is complete for Region 8-AAAAAA. Here are the local team’s results, with team finish and top-10 runners individually (or best individual runner).
HABERSHAM CENTRAL GIRLS
LADY RAIDERS – 5TH PLACE
Audrey Hotard (19:05) finished 1st as the Region Champion for a second straight season as just a sophomore. She bested the rest of the field by 43 seconds. She qualifies individually for state.
HABERSHAM CENTRAL BOYS
RAIDERS – 3RD PLACE (QUALIFIED FOR STATE)
The Raiders qualified as a team for state. Junior Aiden Thaxton (16:53) was the top finisher for Hab Central at 5th overall. Senior Ryan Martin was 7th with a 17:19, and sophomore Conner Gebora was 10th at 17:34.
