The cross country region meet is complete for Region 8-AAAAA. Here are the local team’s results, with team finish and top-10 runners individually (or best individual runner).
JEFFERSON GIRLS
LADY DRAGONS – 1ST PLACE (QUALIFIED FOR STATE)
The Lady Dragons took the top spot in region, qualifying for state. Junior Kiley Powell (21:20) was Runner-Up, while freshmen Hannah Schroeder (21:47, 4th) and Lily Gaddy (22:05, 7th) also were in the top 10.
JEFFERSON BOYS
DRAGONS – 2ND PLACE (QUALIFIED FOR STATE)
The Dragons qualified as a team for state by placing 2nd. Individually, it was junior Ben Davis leading the charge with a 16:31 3rd-place finish. Juniors Austin Click (16:58) and Garrison Lee (17:04) were 7th-8th, while sophomore Brock Brush (17;08) was 10th.
