A total of 7 out of 11 local volleyball teams made the playoffs. Of those, all three region champions advanced, and Union County as a 3-seed did as well. That left 4 teams alive in the second round, with the matches being played out on Saturday. Here’s what happened.

White County punched its Elite 8 ticket with a convincing 3-0 win over Bremen in Cleveland. This extends the Lady Warriors’ season and marks the second-ever Elite 8 run for the program.

#1 Jefferson vs #3 Kell

The Lady Dragons took a big 3-1 win over Kell at home to advance to the Elite 8 for a third straight season.

#1 Tallulah Falls vs #3 Galloway

The Lady Indians secured their first-ever Elite 8 trip with a 3-1 win at home over #6-ranked Galloway.

#3 Union County @ #1 Mt. Paran Christian

Union County’s season came to a close in a 3-0 loss to Mt. Paran Christian.
