It started with 18 teams locally in the state tourney. That shrunk to 9 in the Sweet 16. Now we reach the Elite 8, where only 5 remain in contention. Stephens County boys and girls both advanced, while Commerce girls, Rabun girls, and Jefferson boys are all still alive as well. Here are the Elite 8 matchups. Teams have until May 3 to complete this round.
