The BLITZ Tennis Player of the Week fan vote collected 7,454 total votes. The top vote-getter was the doubles combo of Luke Edwards and Cooper White (Banks) with 4,154. BLITZ then chose Rabun County’s Lucy Hood as co-POW.

The #1 doubles combo for Banks County, Luke Edwards and Cooper White, helped guide the Leopards to big success in the Region 8-AA tournament. The pair won both of their matches, marking the first POW award wins for both guys.

LUCY HOOD – BLITZ PICK

Multi-sport star Lucy Hood transitioned well from basketball to tennis. The sophomore at #3 singles grabbed the game-winning, region title clinching match for the Lady Wildcats in the 8-AA tournament last week. This is her 4th career Player of the Week award.
