The BLITZ Golfer of the Week Fan Vote collected 18,522 total votes, with 9,099 going to winner AK Patton (Jefferson). BLITZ then named Habersham Central’s Smith Caudell as Co-Golfer of the Week.

Jefferson freshman golfer AK Patton had a great showing on the links last week. Patton shot a 41 to claim low medalist honors, and holds a 43 9-hole average on the season. This is Patton’s first POW award.

SMITH CAUDELL – BLITZ PICK

Smith Caudell is a familiar name for Golfer of the Week. The senior for Habersham Central carded a 37 as part of a 1st-place, low medalist performance last week. He also had a 2nd-place finish with a par of 36 in another match, and in a third match last week shot a 76 across a full 18, coming in 7th. This is Caudell’s 4th career POW award, and he is the reigning BLITZ Golfer of the Year.
