A week after announcing his shocking resignation from the #1-ranked Lumpkin County Lady Indians basketball team, the school has announced that he has returned to the team as of Monday.

Dowse, who has a 68-40 mark over 4-plus seasons at Lumpkin, led the team to a region championship and Final Four run in 2020-21 (a 25-win season). Dowse suddenly resigned after a 2-0 start to the season, and the girls have gone 1-1 since he stepped away. The school stated that he led the team’s practice on Monday.
