TRENT THOMAS – BLITZ PICK

Trent Thomas has been reliable all season for the Indians, and picked it up a bit last week across 2 games at the plate and on the bump. The senior third baseman/pitcher went 4-for-8 at the dish for a .500 clip, drove in 4 runs, scored one, and added a pair of doubles. He also threw a complete game, 3-hit shutout with 7 strikeouts in a key region win. That victory, a 2-0 win, gave TFS a school record for wins in a single season. Also, Thomas drove in both runs while also dominating on the hill.
For the 2021 season, Thomas is batting .297 with 1 HR and 20 RBI, 15 runs scored, 9 stolen bases, and 8 doubles. He has a .438 OBP and is slugging .469. On the mound, he is 5-2 with a 2.10 ERA and 38 strikeouts. This is Thomas’ first POW award.
