
The Lady Warriors are playing with momentum. Fresh off a thrilling overtime win at #1 Lumpkin County, White County (7-7, 6-1 in 7-AAA) remains red hot after a Friday night 76-50 win over visiting Dawson County (7-6, 1-4).

White County raced out to a 24-14 first quarter lead, and stretched it to 42-31 going into the locker room at the break. Caitlyn Gailey, who finished with 18 for the Lady Warriors, had 8 in the first half and 10 in the second.
White County again edged Dawson in the third, outscoring the Lady Tigers 21-14 to take a 63-45 lead going into the final quarter, where the Lady Warriors outscored Dawson 13-5 to close it out.
Eight different players scored for the Lady Warriors, led by Gailey’s 18 (including 4 3-pointers) and Maddie Futch’s 16. Dasha Cannon had 8 points, while Naomi Roberts and Claire Beckman scored 7 each, and Camryn Mcafee 6.
Dawson was led by Maddie Anglin’s game-high 24 points, including draining 4 triples. Anglin had 15 of her 24 in the first half, and sat out most of the fourth. Mariah Benson had 10 points for the Lady Tigers, while Emma Walls had 6. Kirklyn Porter and Ella Siuta both tallied 5 points.
