
The Region 8-A meet was on a chilly Halloween at Social Circle High School. Commerce boys and girls featured the individual region champions.
Paden Bell outran the field by about a minute and a half, taking the top spot over teammate Ermay Vazquez. Bell’s time was 20:52. Towns County’s Jayden Taylor (5th; 23:26) and Alison Markham (6th; 23:38) paced the Lady Indians. The Commerce girls came in as region runner-up, while Towns was third.
The Commerce boys were led by senior Brandon Martin, who won the region title by 1:07, clocking in at 16:09. Town’s County’s Liam King was third with a 17:40, while Commerce’s JJ Morris was sixth at 17:51. Commerce won as a team, while Towns County was runner-up.
