The Player of the Week fan voting totaled 2,697 votes. It was Shelby Speed (Banks County) who earned the Fan Vote with 2,352 votes. BLITZ then picked Commerce’s Carson Hobbs as Co-POW.

SHELBY SPEED – FAN VOTE

Shelby Speed was pivotal to the Lady Leopards last week, batting .714 with a pair of RBI and a double. She logged a .727 OBP and .857 SLG. This is Speed’s first-ever POW award.

CARSON HOBBS – BLITZ PICK

Commerce pitcher Carson Hobbs was about as good as you can be, putting up a spotless 0.00 ERA with 6 strikeouts in 9 innings of work last week. This is the junior’s first POW award.
