The Player of the Week fan voting totaled 72,419 votes. It was Jacy Ayers (Banks County) who earned the Fan Vote with 33,281 votes, just edging out Anna Taylor (Commerce) who had 31,378. BLITZ then picked Dawson County’s Bella Henson as Co-POW.

JACY AYERS – FAN VOTE

Banks County’s Jacy Ayers had a terrific showing in games played last week. The sophomore pitcher/outfielder batted .500 and was on base to the tune of a .600 OBP. She also recorded a 1.10 ERA and struck out six hitters. This is Ayers’ second POW award of her career.

BELLA HENSON – BLITZ PICK

Dawson County senior Bella Henson was ridiculously good last week. She hit .389 at the plate for the Lady Tigers. The first baseman had 2 homers, including a Grand Slam, and had 6 RBI. She added a double and a triple to slug .698. This is Henson’s second Player of the Week award.
