Lumpkin County’s Amma Johnson had a spectacular showing at the plate in games played last week. The Lady Indians’ shortstop hit .428, smashed a homerun, drove in 4 runs, scored 4 runs, drew 2 walks, and recorded a .777 OBP. The junior earns her first-ever Player of the Week award.

PRESLEE HIX – BLITZ PICK

No one clubbed the ball harder or more often last week than did Preslee Hix. The Habersham senior destroyed the softball to the tune of a .468 average. She clobbered 2 homeruns, recorded a mind-blowing 14 RBI, and added 2 doubles and 2 walks in games played last week for the Lady Raiders. This is the first baseman’s second career Player of the Week award.
