The Runner of the Week fan voting totaled 12,565 votes. Hana Gregory of Union (7,152 votes) edged out Ryann Jones of Lumpkin (6,502) for the Fan Vote. BLITZ then picked Tallulah Falls’ Evan Prince as Co-Runner of the Week for his historic performance last week.

Union County’s Hana Gregory finished in third place in her home meet last week against six teams. The junior crossed the line at 24:18, a new PR for her.

This is Gregory’s first Runner of the Week award.

EVAN PRINCE – BLITZ PICK

Evan Prince ran his second-best 5K ever, recording a time of 16:17 at the AT&T Starr’s Mill Panther Cross Country Invitational. The Tallulah Falls School junior’s time is just three seconds off his all-time PR set last season. He now owns the top two marks in school history. Prince is the fifth-ranked runner in Class 1A coming into the season.
