The Lady Indians are back in 2020 following a 5-26 campaign in 2019. That is progress from the prior season, and trajectory has it heading in the right direction toward the 2017 success we saw. Taking over the program in 2020 is Jeremy Hughes, who is also the head boys basketball coach.

Head Coach: Jeremy Hughes, 1st Season
2019 Record: 5-26; Region 5th
Stephens County last made big noise in 2017 with a #5 state ranking in its classification, and winning 12 games. After having a very young team the last two seasons, and returning all but two from last year, that could mean a lot more success for the program in 2020.
Personnel
Key Departures: Dale Cleveland
Key Returning Players: N/A
Strengths & Areas of Focus
Strengths: Experience, which tends to be a lot of local teams’ strengths as well. When you lost just three players over the last two years combined, that means this team has tons of experience.
Focusing On: What do they do with the experience? That is the real question. Being hungry for it will be the driving force. Will we see the Lady Indians make a return to the state tournament?
