It was never easy, but we took a list of 41 individuals and narrowed them down to a finalist list of 7 who are now up for Player of the Year for Girls Basketball. This is NOT a public vote. Our internal BLITZ voting panel (made of up up to 25 media members, former players, coaches, or officials, etc.) votes Heisman-style to determine the winner of the award.
