Eurosportscoreboard’s updated state rankings for 2020 includes 10 local programs among the best in the state.

Headlining them all is Habersham Central in Class 6A, as the boys are at #2 after a 2-0 start to the year. That’s up from #3 in the initial poll. In Class 4A, White County girls reside at #8 after going 3-2 in the first five games.

Class 3A features the Jefferson girls (4-0) at #3, up a spot from the first rankings, as well as the Jefferson boys (2-1-2) at #7, which is down 4 spots from #3 previously. Lumpkin County girls (2-1-1) also show in the top-10 at #7, down one spot from the first rankings.

Class 2A’s rankings includes the Union boys (3-1) at #2, while the Union girls (0-1-1) are at #10, 4 spots lower than their previous #6-ranking.

Which brings us to Class 1A, where Commerce’s girls, after going 3-0 to open the slate, are at #3. The Commerce boys (0-1) are #8 at the moment. Towns County also featured both teams in the rankings, with the girls sliding in at #10 and the boys at #9.
