Banks County senior Griffin Stephens earned Runner of the Week honors for a second straight week after logging 2,949 votes out of 5,577 in the Fan Vote. He beat out Commerce freshman Paden Bell (2,319).

GRIFFIN STEPHENS

This marks the third time this season that Griffin Stephens takes Runner of the Week honors. The senior put up a time of 16:58 in claiming the Region 8-AA title last week, and was even better in claiming his first state championship. In that meet on November 2, he timed a 16:44 to beat all 2A runners. It was Stephens’ time to shine, as he was runner-up two straight years in region, and 3rd as a sophomore and runner-up last year at state.
