Dawson County junior Dakohta Sonnichsen earned the Fan Vote Player of the Week award after taking 6,509 votes of the total 11,696. Habersham’s Joshua Pickett (4,171) took a good number of votes as well.

DAKOHTA SONNICHSEN (FAN VOTE)

Junior wide receiver Dakohta Sonnichsen came up big against powerhouse GAC in Dawson’s 20-7 loss in Week 8. Despite the loss, he hauled in 4 catches for 108 yards and a TD, adding 33 rushing yards and a tackle to his solid performance.

Sonnichsen has become a go-to weapon for the #8-ranked Tigers, as he has 479 receiving yards and 144 rushing yards. That comes out to over 600 yards of offense and 4 TDs. This latest performance might be great, but his previous outing was even better – 6 catches, 140 yards, 2 TD in a win over East Hall.
