In the second release of the state yardage leaderboard published weekly by Georgia High School Football Daily, 12 of our local players made the cut above the minimum number of yards to be included among the state’s leaders. The initial list on September 20 contained 11 such players from our coverage area.
The highest-ranking individual is Stephens’ Hudson Spurlock, who sits 4TH in the state in rushing yards. Union’s Pierson Allison is 5TH in passing yards. Once again, Rabun’s Gunner Stockton is the only individual to appear in two listings (passing & rushing). Union has 4 representatives, while Rabun has 3. White and Habersham both have 2, while Stephens has the one.
