Nothing earth-shattering happened in Week 4, but you can blame the weather for that (a few games postponed/canceled by lightning). Nonetheless, we issue our weekly Power Rankings.

#1 RABUN COUNTY WILDCATS
LAST RANKING: #1
RECORD: 3-0 (0-0)
WEEK 4: W 44-7 @ Stephens County
NEXT: vs Putnam County
The #2-ranked Wildcats got a week to rest up and prepare for Stephens County in Week 4. It was not the greatest start for Rabun, as the game was tied at 7 until 5:08 left in the first half. However, the Cats scored a TD, survived a lightning delay, then got a safety, a scoop-n-score, and a kickoff fumble return for a TD to jump start the team. Things should be smooth sailing next week.

#2 UNION COUNTY PANTHERS
LAST RANKING: #2
RECORD: 3-0 (0-0)
WEEK 4: W 33-14 @ Fannin County
NEXT: vs Monticello
After back-to-back blowouts to open the season, Union finally had a test at a solid Fannin County team. It was 20-14 Panthers with just four minutes or so left before the guys broke it open. Monticello awaits in Week 5 for the #10-ranked Union.

#3 DAWSON COUNTY TIGERS
LAST RANKING: #3
RECORD: 3-0 (0-0)
WEEK 4: W 34-0 @ West Hall
NEXT: vs #6 Denmark
The Tigers straight up handled West Hall with no problems, just days after earning a #7 ranking in Class 3A. A big test awaits with state-ranked Denmark.
#4 JEFFERSON DRAGONS
LAST RANKING: #4
RECORD: 1-1 (0-0)
WEEK 4: Canceled vs Southside (SC)
NEXT: @ Gainesville
Jefferson was itching to get back on the field, but lightning and weather had other plans. Unfortunately, the Southside (SC) game has been canceled and will not be made up. That means the #9-ranked Dragons get more rest for a date at City Park in Gainesville.
#5 COMMERCE TIGERS
LAST RANKING: #5
RECORD: 2-1 (0-0)
WEEK 4: Bye
NEXT: @ Providence Christian
The Tigers had an extra week following their first loss of the season. The #8-ranked Commerce team will next travel to Providence Christian to open 8-A play.

#6 HABERSHAM CENTRAL RAIDERS
LAST RANKING: #6
RECORD: 1-2 (0-0)
WEEK 4: Postponed @ Franklin County
NEXT: vs Stephens County
The Raiders didn’t get to play a down at Franklin County. The makeup will be September 27, as both teams surprisingly had a common bye week.

#7 WHITE COUNTY WARRIORS
LAST RANKING: #7
RECORD: 2-1 (0-0)
WEEK 4: W 27-20 vs Pickens County
NEXT: @ #10 North Hall
White County got a big revenge win over Pickens County, the team that beat them TWICE last year, including in the first round of the state playoffs. A matchup with #10 North Hall looms ahead.
#8 BANKS COUNTY LEOPARDS
LAST RANKING: #9
RECORD: 1-2 (0-0)
WEEK 4: L 0-38 @ East Jackson
NEXT: vs Social Circle
Banks County’s great-looking defense didn’t look as sharp on a Saturday game at East Jackson (due to lightning on Friday). 38-0 on the wrong end of that one. Social Circle represents the opening of 8-AA play for the Leopards.

#9 STEPHENS COUNTY INDIANS
LAST RANKING: #8
RECORD: 1-3 (0-0)
WEEK 4: L 7-44 vs #2 Rabun County
NEXT: @ Habersham Central
Stephens County has dropped three in a row – to #6 Hart, #2 Athens Academy, and #2 Rabun. Losing QB Kenny Colwell doesn’t help the cause, but the Indians are looking forward to an epic showdown against Habersham Central.

#10 LUMPKIN COUNTY INDIANS
LAST RANKING: #10
RECORD: 1-3 (0-0)
WEEK 4: W 29-21 vs Gilmer
NEXT: Bye
Lumpkin got that first win when taking down Gilmer in a thriller behind the efforts of BoJack Dowdy and his 2 TD. Next up, a well-earned bye week!
#11 TOWNS COUNTY INDIANS
LAST RANKING: #11
RECORD: 0-3 (0-0)
WEEK 4: Bye
NEXT: vs George Walton
The Indians get a bye week to recover after the 0-3 start, and are set to take on George Walton in the 8-A opener.
