The Dawson County Tigers and Lady Tigers cross country programs opened the 2019 season in the Pickens Preview on Saturday morning. Competing against 13 other schools, the Dawson boys finished fourth, behind only Pace Academy, Pope, and North Gwinnett. Senior Ben McGinnis took the overall top spot with a 16:24, two seconds ahead of the next-place runner.

The Tigers were also led by Collin Kilgore, who placed sixth among 126 total runners.

The Lady Tigers finished 11th in a field of 15 teams, and were led by Jenna Lecours, who placed 47th overall.
