Both Union County and Jefferson took the pitch on Wednesday evening looking to make the Final 4, something neither program has done in their respective history. Both succeeded, posting shutout wins in the process.

CLASS 3A

Jefferson Dragons 1, Tattnall Co 0

The #6-ranked Dragons (17-2) used the lone goal from Roberto Quintal to a solid 1-0 win over Tattnall County. Jefferson moves on to the Final 4 for the first time in school history, going up against Westminster on the road on May 14. Javy Flores and the defense once again played phenomenally. Jefferson has 63 goals for and just 10 against all season.

CLASS 2A

Union Co Panthers 4, Jefferson Davis 0

Union County (12-4) didn’t need much dramatics this time around, cruising to a 4-0 win over Jefferson Davis in what was a very rare quarterfinals matchup between #4 seeds. The Panthers used a hat trick from Brian Smith, the first of which came just seconds into the match. The game remained tight, but Kobi Robbins added a goal to polish off the 4-0 win.

Union County is into the semifinals for the first time ever, and take on Vidalia on the road May 14 in the Final 4. Union has scored 44 goals this season, allowing just 24 total.
