
A handful of local boys soccer programs took to the pitch in hopes of staying alive in the state tournament. Jefferson came out victorious, while first-timers Commerce and Towns County fell in their first-ever playoff games, as did Dawson County.


Jefferson Dragons 2, Stone Mountain 0
Jefferson (15-2) fought hard to a 2-0 win over Stone Mountain to advance to the Sweet 16.
Dawson Co Tigers @ Calhoun
The Tigers fell 1-0 in a heart-breaker at Calhoun to end their season.


Morris Innov 3, Towns Co Indians 1
Towns County (6-6) fell to Morris Innovation, 3-1 in its first-ever playoff game in program history. The Indians’ season comes to a close.
Trion 6, Commerce Tigers 2
Commerce (5-10) fell 6-2 to Trion in its first-ever playoff game, thus ending its inaugural season.
