After 27,301 votes were casted, it was Stephens County’s Eli Wenger (10,162) who had the most votes, earning POW honors. BLITZ then picked Habersham’s Peyton Irvin as Co-POW.
ELI WENGER – FAN VOTE

Eli Wenger and the Indians are in the midst of another tough playoff push. With his recent numbers in the past 3 games, it’s no wonder that Stephens County remains a lethal team.
The junior shortstop went 4-for-8 over a 3-game win streak, including a homerun, triple, and driving in 6 runs. This is Wenger’s first Player of the Week Award.
PEYTON IRVIN – BLITZ PICK

Peyton Irvin has done it again. The do-it-all Raider earns his second Player of the Week Award after having a tremendous 3-game stretch in which he hit a homer, drove in 5 runs, and hit .333.
Habersham (17-5; 5-2) is securing a playoff spot for the first time since 2006. Irvin has been very good this year. He also went 2-0 with a microscopic 0.70 ERA over the same 3-game stretch, which included a complete game win. He recorded 12 strikeouts in the process.
