21,238 votes were recorded in the FAN VOTE Player of the Week for Soccer. The top boy and girl vote-getter won the honors, while BLITZ chose one irregardless of voting outcomes. The top vote-getter was Towns County’s Peyton Barrett (8,192), while the girls winner was the second-highest vote-getter, Ellie Garrison & Maddie Sutton of Union (6,750 votes). BLITZ then chose Jefferson’s Margo Perry as a Player of the Week.
PEYTON BARRETT – FAN VOTE

Peyton Barrett is a young star in the making for Towns County. He tallied a game-winner for the Indians recently, and 80% of his shots were on target in the last two games. He also recorded 12 steals as a midfielder. This is Barrett’s first Player of the Week award.
ELLIE GARRISON & MADDIE SUTTON – FAN VOTE

The defensive duo of Ellie Garrison & Maddie Sutton has been very good this season, to say the least. The senior defenders have allowed just six goals in total this season, en route to a 7-1 record that includes a perfect 5-0 region record. After missing state last season, the Lady Panthers have essentially locked up the region 8-AA title, and Garrison and Sutton are a large reason why. This is the first POW awards for both.
MARGO PERRY – BLITZ PICK

Jefferson’s junior keeper Margo Perry has been one of the best around in between the pipes. She has allowed a grand total of seven balls to reach the back of the net, and her Goals Against Average is an anemic 0.6.
Against Jackson County, she recorded a shutout and two saves. The Lady Dragons are 7-3-1 overall and 4-1 in 8-AAA contests. This is Perry’s first POW award.
