ZEKE SWARTZ – FAN VOTE

Zeke Swartz put up some crazy-good stats recently. The sophomore pitcher/first baseman hit .667 (6-for-9), driving in 2 runs, including a walk-off hit versus Monticello in a March 15 double-header. Swartz went 5-for-6 in the first game, a 10-9 win that ended with his walk-off hit. He went 1-for-3 in the second game. He finished with a run scored and a hit by pitch as well.
On the mound, he picked up the win in the 10-1 win that same day, going seven strong in a complete game gem. He allowed just one earned run against 4 hits and a walk, while striking out an unheard of 16 batters. In 2019, Swartz is batting .393 with 5 RBI, 2 runs scored, and has a 1-1 record with a 1.00 ERA over 28 innings of work. He has struck out 41 against just 4 walks. This is Swartz’s first Player of the Week award.
COLBY ROGERS – BLITZ PICK

Colby Rogers has been red-hot for the Tigers this season. The junior second baseman hit .571 in games last week, including going yard with a homer. He also tallied two saves on the bump over the past four games.
Rogers has once before been a Player of the Week as a sophomore last season.
