The calendar rolls over into March, which means it’s that time for us to provide a new look at the BLITZ Girls Soccer Power Rankings.

#1 DAWSON CO LADY TIGERS
RECORD: 4-1
PREVIOUS RANKING: #1
The Lady Tigers, ranked #5 in Class 3A, have outscored opponents 19-5 so far. Although it was a scrimmage, the win over White County (2-1) barely edges them over the Lady Warriors at the moment.
#2 WHITE CO LADY WARRIORS
RECORD: 7-0
PREVIOUS RANKING: #3
White County is #7-ranked in Class 4A, and have been unbelievably good…and that’s knowing that they were going to be awesome this season. The Lady Warriors have 23 goals against just 3 allowed, and have huge wins over state-ranked Jefferson and Lumpkin, as well as wins over Stephens and Habersham to their credit. Top to bottom, a complete stacked team!
#3 JEFFERSON LADY DRAGONS
RECORD: 5-1
PREVIOUS RANKING: #4
The Lady Dragons, ranked #7 in Class 3A, are up there with the likes of White County (though that’s Jefferson’s only loss). 29 goals for, 3 against. This team is already 2-0 in region play as well.

#4 LUMPKIN CO LADY INDIANS
RECORD: 4-2
PREVIOUS RANKING: #2
The Lady Indians would love the White County game back, but this is a great team, even White Co will tell you that. The offense is as good as ever, scoring 29 goals so far. The defense has also been stout, allowing 7 goals in total.
#5 UNION CO LADY PANTHERS
RECORD: 2-1
PREVIOUS RANKING: #5
Madison Yost continues to dominate, and has the Lady Panthers off to a quick 2-1 start with the sole loss to Lumpkin. Union is also 1-0 early in region play with a win over Banks, and have 12 goals against 5 allowed.
#6 STEPHENS CO LADY INDIANS
RECORD: 5-2
PREVIOUS RANKING: #8
The Lady Indians are 5-2, though 0-1 in region. The 33 goals for is straight up insane (4.7 per game), but the 18 allowed is equally high (2.3/game).
#7 TOWNS CO LADY INDIANS
RECORD: 0-1-1
PREVIOUS RANKING: #6
Towns County hasn’t won a game yet, but it’s a very small sample size. The girls have scored 4 goals and allowed 5, so it would be nice to see those numbers trend differently.

#8 HABERSHAM CENTRAL LADY RAIDERS
RECORD: 1-4
PREVIOUS RANKING: #10
The Lady Raiders are off to a 1-0 start in region play. They’d like more than a goal per game (5 total), and would like to allow less than 2 per game (13 total).

#9 RABUN CO LADY WILDCATS
RECORD: 0-1
PREVIOUS RANKING: #7
Rabun got outscored 6-0 to Stephens County, a high-scoring group. Let’s wait and see what more games produce.
#10 BANKS CO LADY LEOPARDS
RECORD: 1-6
PREVIOUS RANKING: #9
The Lady Leopards are not thrilled with a 1-6 start, or an 0-2 mark in region play, but a win over Commerce was nice. Banks is averaging a goal per game (7 total) and have allowed 46 so far, which comes out to 6.6 per game.
#11: COMMERCE LADY TIGERS
RECORD: 0-2-1
PREVIOUS RANKING: N/A
The Lady Tigers are brand new out of the box. An early draw is a good first step, and giving up just 8 goals so far isn’t bad for a first-year team. They have tallied 3 goals in total.
