26,496 votes made it clear, as the top overall vote-getter, Kolby Moss (Towns; 10,563 votes) and the top girl, Dasha Cannon (White; 6,260), are named BLITZ Players of the Week after the Fan Vote was concluded Wednesday.
KOLBY MOSS

The Towns County Indians have had a roller-coaster year, but sophomore guard Kolby Moss has been one of the mainstays on the team, especially in three games last week. He tallied 27 points, 7.5 assists, and 7 rebounds per contest in that stretch. That included a 37-point performance against Lakeview and a 23-point effort against Commerce. In the Lakeview game, Moss was 23-for-25 at the free throw line, where he generated the bulk of his points. He also made 7-of-12 from the field. His Commerce game was a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Then against Fannin, Moss flirted with a triple-double, tallying 21 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds. For the season, the guard is averaging a team-best 18.5 points, 5.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, and is second in rebounding at 6.4 rebounds on average. He is one of the top free throw shooters in the area, converting 84% from the charity stripe.

DASHA CANNON

Dasha Cannon is becoming a wildly popular player. Her voters show up, as this is Cannon’s third Player of the Week award this season and fourth in her young career. Over the past two games, she averaged 14.5 points, 6.5 assists, and 3.5 steals. This includes a double-double of 21 points and 10 assists in a win over Denmark.
