Banks County’s Jaycie Bowen (Georgia College basketball signee), a two-sport star in basketball and softball, was a State Finalist in the recent 2018 Wendy’s Heisman Award running. The winners of the national award were a boy from Mississippi and a girl from Tennessee.

Bowen highlighted eight local athletes who were nominees from our area of Georgia. Tallulah Falls and Dawson County featured two student-athletes each.
