A pair of senior guards were named BLITZ Players of the Week for their efforts. Senior Austin Harris (White County) earned his second award of his career, while Nyah Williams (Tallulah Falls) earned the honors as well.
AUSTIN HARRIS

Harris has been leading the charge for a new-look White County team this year. The senior guard in the past three games has averaged 25 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per contest.
For the season, Harris’ stats stand at 23.7 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 2.8 apg, and 1.8 spg. The Warriors are currently 3-7 overall.

NYAH WILLIAMS

Senior guard Nyah Williams has long been a leader for the Lady Indians. She earns her first Player of the Week award in the midst of yet another solid season for the 7-3 Tallulah Falls team. She is shooting 46% from the floor and averages 17.5 pts, 6.1 reb, 1.7 stl, and 1.4 ast per game through 10 games.
Last year, Williams averaged 19.5 pts, 5 reb, and 2 stl per game, and eclipsed 1,000 career points before her junior year was over. Williams gets it done off the court too, carrying a very high GPA and near the top of her graduating class, and has a full academic scholarship to UPenn. Amazingly, she’s already completed 12 honors courses and 15 dual credit enrollment courses.
