The Commerce boys earned a state runner-up finish in Saturday’s 1A Public State Meet. Commerce girls came in 11th, while the Towns girls were 10th.

Brandon Martin led the Tigers squad with an individual state runner-up race, finishing in 18:03.

In the girls’ run, Bazya Smith led the Towns County team with a 24th place finish, as the team came in 10th overall. The Commerce girls were led by 37th place finisher Anastasia Sheffield, while the team finished 11th.
