The Jefferson cross country program got a “two-for” with a pair of Region 8-AAA titles on Thursday late morning. Next up, perhaps a state title for both teams as well.
GIRLS
The girls earned the top spot behind a killer day from its top five runners, who all placed in the top seven individually. Caitlin Schroeder (20:14) finished as the overall champion, while teammate Katherine Law (20:22) was runner-up.
Olivia Kulniszewski (21:43) was fifth, Isabel Vanderpool (22:05) was sixth, and Madison Chisholm (22:10) seventh.
BOYS
The Dragons also earned the 8-AAA title with Riley Thornton leading the way for Jefferson with a runner-up finish and a 16:23 time.
Teammate Levi Holiday (17:22) finished sixth overall.
