#6 Jefferson vs #3 Monroe Area

This is the defacto Region 8-AAA title game. This one’s for all the marbles, and once again Jefferson is without its fearless leader Colby Clark, sidelined by injury. He’ll be the biggest supporter and another coach while watching the Dragons try to score off a team that hasn’t allowed a single point since August 31, and has a dual threat QB with over 2,500 total yards. PREDICTION: Jefferson Wins

Towns vs #3 Commerce

Towns is on a slippery slope at the moment, and things don’t get any easier with powerhouse, undefeated Commerce coming to town. Can the Indians stop the triple option?  PREDICTION: Commerce Wins

Habersham Central vs Dacula

The Raiders will have their hands full in this one, as Dacula represents the best of Region 7-AAAAAA. Not to say that the offense can’t deliver blow for blow with Dacula, but the visitors will put a ton of pressure on Habersham Central, especially the defense. PREDICTION: Dacula Wins

#3 Rabun @ Social Circle

The drive to another region title continues for the Wildcats against Social Circle. This game is over at the half as Rabun will get its seventh straight win over SC, which is all 7 career meetings. PREDICTION: Rabun Wins

#9 Union @ Oglethorpe

The Panthers shouldn’t have any problems here, despite the long ride. Pierson Allison should carve up the defense and win-less OC. PREDICTION: Union Wins

#8 Dawson @ Fannin

Fannin doesn’t stand much of a chance here. Dawson will probably win by a very wide margin, but at least there’s intrigue because Fannin is fighting for a playoff spot, so it will play with extra intensity.  PREDICTION: Dawson Wins

Banks @ Putnam

The Leopards have taken on Rabun and Union in back-to-back games, so they’re happy to take on a Putnam team that is struggling in 2018. Maxpreps favors Putnam by one, but we’ll go with the Leopards here. PREDICTION: Banks Wins

White @ Denmark

This is no given for the Warriors, but they need a win in the most desperate kind of way. It hurts that White Co is on the road, and Denmark is a first-year program that is actually putting up a great record. It’s hard to say how this pans out, mostly because we haven’t seen Denmark at all ever…but the Warriors are stout on paper. PREDICTION: White Wins

Stephens @ North Oconee

North Oconee on the road proves to be a tough out. The Indians of course have plenty of athletic individuals, but so does North Oconee. This will be a close one if we had to guess. PREDICTION: North Oconee Wins

Lumpkin @ #10 North Hall

North Hall presents a huge challenge for the Indians’ defense as the Trojans are running the triple option as good as ever. Unfortunately for Lumpkin, this comes on the heels of playing GAC. PREDICTION: North Hall Wins
