#3 Rabun vs #10 Elbert

This is a HUGE game that is not only a litmus test for both programs, but also helps clear up this three-team race in 8-AA with Rabun, Union and Elbert. Union already beat Elbert, so if the Cats can do the same, it makes Week 11 (Nov 2) a de-facto region title game against Union County.  PREDICTION: Rabun Wins

#10 Union vs Banks

The Panthers and Leopards, both off bye weeks, are healthy for this one. But one of the state’s leaders in passing yards and total yards, Pierson Allison, will likely make this a long night for the Leopards. PREDICTION: Union Wins

Stephens vs Oconee

This will be a tough one, as Oconee is a pretty solid team, as are the Indians who are well ahead of schedule in their “rebuild” effort. We’ll go with the home team. PREDICTION: Stephens Wins

Lumpkin County vs #4 GAC

The Indians face the unenviable and daunting task of playing powerhouse GAC. PREDICTION: GAC Wins

White County @ West Hall

The five-game losing streak for the Warriors is something they’d love to get rid of. They also, at 0-2 in the region, desperately need to win out to make sure they get into the state playoffs. This is the first step in that direction.  PREDICTION: White Wins

#7 Jefferson @ Morgan County

The Dragons are still without the services of star QB Colby Clark, but there are so many weapons in this program that it shouldn’t be an issue Friday night. PREDICTION: Jefferson Wins

#3 Commerce @ Hebron Christian

Hebron is no cakewalk, especially on the road. But it’s Commerce… PREDICTION: Commerce Wins
