For the second time this season, the Banks County electric duo of senior Jaycie Bowen and junior Tybee Denton take Player of the Week honors. The Lady Leopards’ stars have the team 17-5 overall and 6-2 in Region 8-AA play.
JAYCIE BOWEN

Jaycie Bowen has put together an incredible and unforgettable season. The first baseman in the past eight games (which included four Lady Dog Invitation games last week) has hit .667 (16-for-24) with 17 RBI and 12 runs scored, adding eight doubles and six walks.
The season totals for the Georgia College basketball commit has the following season totals to date:
BATTING
.632 AVG (36-for-57) 6 HR, 27 RBI, 19 R, 9 2B, 1 3B, 12 BB, .712 OBP, 1.135 SLG
PITCHING
4-1 (2 Saves), 1.50 ERA, 49 K, 25.1 IP
TYBEE DENTON

Tybee Denton is the go-to in the circle for the Lady Leopards. Over the past nine games (same set as Bowen), Denton has been absolutely dominant, going 9-0 with a 0.33 ERA and 82 strikeouts in 42 innings. That’s insane! But it gets better.
In that stretch she recorded career strikeout number 500….and is still just a junior. She hit .452 for the week with three homers and 20 RBI. But it still gets better. Denton in a Thursday night game against Elbert County pitched a perfect game – no hits, no walks, no runs, none reached on error. She also went 3-for-3 at the plate with two Grand Slam homeruns, posting a career-best 10 RBI in a single game.
We’ve perhaps NEVER seen a single game to that magnitude of a perfect game, two grand slams and 10 RBI. Here are her season stats to date:
PITCHING
9-4 (4 Saves), 0.83 ERA, 188 K, 105.1 IP
HITTING
.385 AVG (25-for-65), 5 HR, 30 RBI, 6 R, 4 2B, 3 BB
