Lumpkin County vs Dawson County

Lumpkin and Dawson square off in a rival game as these neighboring counties and region foes know each other well. Some are friends and family members, some are transfers from one program to the other, some go to church together, etc. Never a dull game when these two meet. Dawson is unbeaten and have arguably the best 1-2 punch in the state in the running department.  PREDICTION: Dawson Wins

#3 Rabun County vs Monticello

Rabun is finding its grove and getting better each time out, which proves problematic for other teams. This won’t even be close. PREDICTION: Rabun Wins

#7 Jefferson vs East Jackson

The Dragons continue to dominate as of late. The season-opening loss is a thing of the past, and these guys are gaining momentum week-by-week. East Jackson will be the latest victim. PREDICTION: Jefferson Wins

White County vs #3 Marist

The Warriors will need to play their best game of the season when hosting powerhouse Marist. It can happen though if they take care of the football and take advantage of any Marist miscues. PREDICTION: Marist Wins

Stephens County vs Cedar Shoals

The Indians are very athletic and growing up quick despite their youth. Cedar Shoals won’t know what hit them. PREDICTION: Stephens Wins

Union County vs Putnam County

Monticello last week was good preparation for Union, as Putnam will not be as tough in our opinion. The Panthers are at home too, and won’t be looking to get their first loss anytime soon. PREDICTION: Union Wins

Banks County vs Oglethorpe

The way that Terrence Walker and Jacob Lehotsky are running the ball, it’s just like a video game the last couple of weeks. Look out Oglethorpe! PREDICTION: Banks Wins

Towns County vs #2 Athens Academy

The Indians are coming off a rough loss and unfortunately this one won’t make things any easier. Athens Academy is cream of the crop this year in Class 1A, so it’s not a knock on Towns at all. It would take every player having their best game and NO TURNOVERS to put the pressure on Athens, who also has pretty good depth compared to most other 1A schools. PREDICTION: Athens Academy Wins

#4 Commerce @ Madison County

The Tigers are without fault in 2018, and will look to continue their dominant run game on the road at Madison. PREDICTION: Commerce Wins
