Volleyball has served up a handful of games in the 2018 fall season, so it’s time we take a peek at what each team is up to in our corner of Georgia.

DAWSON COUNTY

RECORD: 4-3

The Lady Tigers are off to a decent start. After dropping the first two on the same night to Fannin and Gilmer, Dawson picked up a win over Pickens. The girls then got revenge on Gilmer, and added a win against Lumpkin the following day. A split a few days ago – a loss to Habersham and win over Stephens – has Dawson at 4-3 thusfar.

HABERSHAM CENTRAL

RECORD: 5-0

The Lady Raiders are flawless so far, going 4-0 with wins against Madison, Morgan, Flowery Branch, Dawson and Lumpkin. We’re just one week in and the team is already almost halfway to last season’s win total of 12.

JEFFERSON

RECORD: 4-3

Like Dawson, Jefferson started out with a loss before rebounding well. A loss to Flowery Branch to open the season was followed by a win over Eastside. However, Oconee and North Hall both topped Jefferson, who then responded with a three-game win streak with wins over West Hall, White County and Johnson.

LUMPKIN COUNTY

RECORD: 5-8

The Lady Indians have been busy! Already 13 games in the books. Wins came against Gilmer, Cedar Shoals, Rabun County, Cherokee Bluff and Stephens County. Losses came to Habersham, Tallulah Falls, West Hall, twice to Flowery Branch, Grayson, Apalachee and Dawson County.

RABUN COUNTY

RECORD: 0-2

According to MaxPreps, Rabun stands at 0-2, which we know that this record might be partial. MaxPreps shows the losses to Lumpkin and Fannin.

STEPHENS COUNTY

RECORD: 0-4

Stephens has dropped all four decisions, with losses to Lumpkin, Fannin, Madison and Oconee so far.

TALLULAH FALLS

RECORD: 5-3

The Lady Indians have five wins already, and are coming off a 22-win season last year. Madison, Providence Christian, Lumpkin, East Hall and Pickens all proved wins. Northgate, Loganville and a second meeting with Providence were losses on the schedule.

UNION COUNTY

RECORD: 0-6

Union won its first-ever set in a match against Gilmer here early in the Lady Panthers’ second season. That’s improvement!

WHITE COUNTY

RECORD: 2-3

White County has wins over Union and East Jackson, and losses to Jefferson, Fannin and East Hall.
