Stephens County and Banks County both appeared in the initial state rankings released by the AJC, with the Lady Indians ranked #2 in Class 4A and the Lady Leopards #3 in Class 2A.
Stephens County is currently listed at 1-1 overall, falling to East Hall 1-0 before a 4-1 win over Hart County. Its August 8 game against Habersham is a score that has not been publicly recorded.
For Banks County, the girls are 3-0, outscoring opponents 26-5. A season-opening 7-0 win over Prince Avenue Christian was followed by a 10-1 win over Greenbrier and 9-4 win over Calvary Day. The Lady Leopards blasted five homeruns over the weekend in the wins.
