The Lumpkin County Lady Indians are off to a great start after just two games, sitting at 2-0 after a 10-8 offensive battle Tuesday evening at Christian Heritage.
The Lady Indians have put up 20 runs through the two games (10 in each contest) and after an opening 10-0 shutout win at Pickens County Monday, have allowed just eight runs.
The girls return to action on Thursday at home against local rivals White County. Lumpkin went 12-18 a year ago, but made the state playoffs. It fell to Jackson County in a two-game sweep in the opening round.
