Basketball season is a wrap — but now come the awards. For Banks County, perhaps those are just beginning to roll in. Dylan Orr was named BLITZ Player of the Year a few weeks ago, and now Orr, Carl Cleveland and Darius Bonds all earned All-State recognition by basketball guru Kyle Sandy (www.sandysspiel.com).

Orr was named Best Shot Blocker in Class 2A, while Bonds was named Best Passer. Meanwhile, both Orr and Cleveland were named Honorable Mentions in Class 2A.

In class 3A, Dawson’s Cullen Reed was also named Honorable Mention. Stephens County’s big man De’Undra Singleton (Class 4A) was also an Honorable Mention for his class.
